The hotel has beautiful interiors! the art nouveau design felt very romantic. breakfasts included croissants even better than in france. I loved them. the staff have been there for years and really care, so it feels like coming home.
The staff was poorly trained. It showed! the rooms are poorly insulated from noises from the street. prices have slowly been hiked up, but services have degraded. it's time to shape up, i think.

I found the minibar prices quite high. A small bottle of water cost more than i expected! also, the gym equipment seemed a bit outdated. Some of the machines could use an upgrade. the lack of readily available adaptors in the room was a minor inconvenience though i understand it is a first world problem, i had to request one from reception, resulting in a delay for my device charging. it's these small details that i think could enhance the overall experience, particularly for international travelers like myself.
